Signal Hill is an established community in west Calgary, built largely through the 1980s and 1990s. It has a diverse housing stock and is anchored by the Signal Hill Centre, a large shopping district with major retail (Costco, Walmart, Winners) and restaurants, alongside several parks and pathways.
Getting around
Signal Hill is car-dependent for most day-to-day errands (Walk Score in the mid-30s as of 2025 research). There's no C-Train station in the community; bus routes connect to the 69th Street West LRT in roughly 10 minutes, and it's about a 10–12 minute drive to the Trans-Canada for trips west.
For families
The community is family-oriented, with the retail and dining of the Signal Hill Centre close by plus multiple parks and pathways. Stoney Trail is a quick connection across the city — roughly a 25–30 minute drive to Legacy in the deep southeast.
